SUBJECT:    2004 Preuss School Inaugural Graduation

I am pleased to extend an invitation to the UCSD community to attend the 2004 Preuss School Inaugural Graduation on June 30, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. on the Manchester Field at the Preuss School. University of California, President Robert C. Dynes will deliver the keynote address for the 55 graduates and guests. We are extremely proud of this graduating class. Among their many significant benchmarks are:

* Admitted to highly competitive private and public universities in the
   nation including UCSD, Stanford, MIT, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Dartmouth, the
   University of San Diego, Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Carnegie Mellon
   and New York University;
* 100 percent of the senior class filed "statements of intent to register"
   at 28 different colleges and universities, indicating that they will
   enroll in either a four or two year college for Fall 2004;
* Fifty-four of 55 seniors applied to the highly competitive University of
   California, which accepts the top 12.5 percent of California high school
   graduates. Of these 54 applicants, 64.8 percent were admitted.

Please join me, the Preuss School administrators, students, parents, and guests as we celebrate the achievements of the 2004 Preuss School inaugural graduating class.
