Each year UCSD celebrates the dedication of staff employees and their years of service with the UCSD Annual Service Awards. Employees are eligible for recognition when they have achieved 10 or more years of service, at five-year intervals (10, 15, 20, etc.).
The 2003-04 ceremony will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2004, in the Price Center Ballroom. Invitations to the awards ceremony will be mailed to eligible employees in late September or early October 2004.
HOW TO SUBMIT ELIGIBLE EMPLOYEES' NAMES
To ensure all eligible employees are recognized, departments should complete and submit either the following Excel spreadsheet or Word table, which detail all required information:

HOW TO DETERMINE ELIGIBILITY
Employees are eligible for recognition this year if their service achievement occurs between September 1, 2003, and August 31, 2004. Detailed information regarding service credit calculations and service pin guidelines are available in the following document:

The presentation of service pins is not included in the Annual Service Awards Program. To request service pins for eligible employees, please review the Service Credit Calculation Procedures for Service Pins and Vacation Leave Accrual Adjustments (Attachment A), and complete and submit the Service Credit Calculation Form (Attachment B) to the Human Resources Department Records Units at mail code 0922. Although it is not a requirement for the Service Awards Program, departments are encouraged to request service pins prior to submitting employees' names for the Annual Service Awards Program.
