All GENERAL CAMPUS AND SIO LADDER RANK FACULTY
In response to the California Research Bureau Report on Faculty, Managers and Administrators at the University of California released in November 2004, UC President Robert Dynes appointed a system-wide Task Force on faculty diversity. Members of the Task Force represent individual faculty and/or administrators from each campus whose responsibilities include faculty diversity. The Task Force will conduct a site visit at each campus to assess the level of progress and efforts toward increasing the diversity of ladder rank faculty. For complete information on this important system-wide effort, please visit the Task Force website (www.universityofcalifornia.edu/facultydiversity). Detailed information regarding UCSD's faculty diversity efforts is available on the web at (www.universityofcalifornia.edu/facultydiversity/sandiegoprograms.html).
November 15-16, 2005, a team of five Task Force faculty members will visit UCSD to meet with senior academic administrators, members of the senate Committee on Academic Personnel (CAP), senate diversity committees, deans, department chairs, and campus diversity committees. In addition, the Task Force invites all ladder rank faculty to participate in an Open Forum on faculty diversity to be held Tuesday, November 15th, from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the Faculty Club. Please RSVP for the Open Forum by October 31st to Cheryl Ott at email@example.com.
