SUBJECT:    Contracts and Grants Proposals - New Queries

We are pleased to announce that proposal data from COEUS, UCSD's integrated contracts and grants system, is now in the data warehouse and available to authorized department users. The Coeus Team of SPEAR has developed two new online queries that are available to access this data:

- The Proposal Data for Departments query provides information on proposals submitted to the sponsoring agency. Use this query to see a list of proposals that have been submitted and are awaiting funding or to determine how many proposals have been submitted during a particular month or year.

- The Proposal Log Data for Departments query provides the roster of all UCSD proposal numbers generated by the office of Contract and Grant Administration (OCGA) for PIs. Use this query to see all proposal numbers created by OCGA for your department during a particular time period.

These queries can be accessed via the Blink Research tab and via the DataLink Queries. For detailed information on how to use the queries, please see http://blink.ucsd.edu/go/proposalquery

It is important to note that only proposals that have been submitted to a funding agency are available in the data warehouse. Data associated with proposals that are not selected for funding by an agency remain in the proposal query database for only twenty-four (24) months from date of submission, after which time they are archived.

For questions regarding this announcement and the Coeus Proposal Data project, please contact Linda Dale at ldale@ucsd.edu or at (858) 534-3333. For technical questions regarding the queries, please contact Sandra Duckett at sduckett@ucsd.edu or at (858) 822-4076.
