For the past 10 years, StudentLink has served us well as a tool that allows both faculty/staff and students to conduct University business. In an effort to improve services to students and faculty/staff, Student Affairs and Business Affairs have combined efforts to produce TritonLink which brings together the tools of StudentLink with content, personalization and customization, and a new look and feel. As a result, StudentLink is retiring.
TritonLink at http://tritonlink.ucsd.edu/ has been designed for students. During Orientation for the Fall quarter, incoming students will be trained on TritonLink and students will no longer be directed to use StudentLink.
The Blink Serving Students tab at http://blink.ucsd.edu/tab/servingstudents has been designed for faculty and staff and replaces the functions in StudentLink that faculty and staff used.
Blink Serving Students also links to the information students see on TritonLink. The new tab provides searchable information to faculty and staff in the following categories:
- StudentLink tools
- General information such as academic calendars, major/minor codes and the General Catalog
- Detailed information on grades, exams and many other topics
- Registration and enrollment information including fees, and the add/drop/change process
- Scheduling (scheduling classes by department and standard teaching times)
- Course information for academic departments
- Policies and procedures (confidentiality of student records, integrity of scholarship, etc.)
The Serving Students tab includes convenient links to directories for general information (hours and office phone numbers) for college advisors an department and program advisors, as well as a direct link to TritonLink.
After you review the Blink Serving Students tab at http://blink.ucsd.edu/tab/servingstudents, please send us your comments and suggestions by clicking the Comments link at the top of the right hand column on the page.
Beginning July 1, faculty and staff will be redirected to Blink Serving Students and students will be redirected to TritonLink when they try to access StudentLink.
