September is Campus Preparedness Month

EH&S is promoting September as campus preparedness month. During this time of national reflection on the tragic events of September 11, 2001, we encourage all members of the campus community to dedicate time out of your busy schedule to prepare yourself, your staff, and your family for natural, technological, and human-caused disasters.

This is an excellent opportunity to review with colleagues and family what to do in the event of a disaster. Please take time in September to review the campus Emergency Management Plan, your Department Emergency Action Plan, and your Personal Supplies Checklist for emergency events. To further prepare the campus, EH&S is conducting a campus-wide emergency exercise on Tuesday, November 15, 2005. More details on this event will be announced several days prior to the exercise.
