Search for the Vice Chancellor-Research

On November 4, 2005, a campus notice from SVC Chandler announced the search for the Vice Chancellor-Research and invited nominations and applications for this position. I am writing to remind you that the Search Committee for the Vice Chancellor-Research would like to receive nominations and applications by FRIDAY, JANUARY 20, 2006, as the committee will begin reviewing candidates later this month.

The recruitment for the Vice Chancellor-Research is being conducted as a nationwide search. Successful candidates should have some prior experience in academic administration and must have a distinguished record of scholarship, teaching, and service appropriate for appointment as a tenured senior professor in one of UCSD's academic appointments.
