These classifications have "By-Agreement" rates. Therefore, individuals do not receive an automatic rate increase unless an increase is required to bring their rate up to the minimum of the range established for the classification. The rate paid to individuals in these classifications may be adjusted within the range at the discretion of the department, upon completion of the required twelve months on pay status. For those who reach the required twelve months on pay status on or after March 1, 2006, the increase may be any amount up to 3.5%.

The proposed effective date for the first range adjustment is March 1, 2006 for student employees paid monthly and biweekly. Students or other interested parties who would like to comment on the proposed changes may do so by submitting written or electronic mail comments by February 13, 2005 to:

Christine Alexander, Student Employment Coordinator Career Services Center, Job Opportunities Program, Mail Code 0335 or mail to: calexander@ucsd.edu

Student employees should be made aware of this announcement. The comments received during this consultation period will be considered prior to a final decisions being made.
