ALL ACADEMICS AND STAFF AT UCSD (excluding UCSD Medical Center)

SUBJECT:    Campus Phones Outage on November 9, 9:00pm to Midnight

The campus telephone system will undergo a major maintenance upgrade as part of our continuing efforts to improve services. Due to this procedure, campus telephone service will be unavailable for about three hours on Thursday, November 9th, beginning at 9:00 p.m. until midnight. Medical Center phone service will not be affected since they are operated by a different system.

After the upgrade, you may need to reset the "Accept 2nd Call" feature, enable the "Follow Me" (*2*) feature, or enable the "External Call Forward" (*23*) feature on your phone. Also, the message waiting indication for analog phones will be changed from the elevated dial tone to a pulsating dial tone.
