Reduced-Price Parking

Based on customer and community feedback, Transportation & Parking Services has developed a reduced-price parking program to save parking permit holders money, alleviate parking congestion and increase available visitor parking throughout campus by offering $55 per month parking in underutilized lots. The reduced-price parking program begins November 1, 2006 and provides parking in east campus lots P704, P705 and P782.

The East Campus/Regents Express shuttles provide convenient service between these reduced-price lots and central campus. These shuttles will now operate during quarter breaks to provide year-round east campus service. The University City Loop, UCSD/MTS Free Bus Zone route 48/49, also serves east campus and stops along Gilman Drive. With a Free Bus sticker, UCSD affiliates can ride the 48/49 and the other five routes in the Free Bus Zone. For details on UCSD shuttle and bus service, visit http://blink.ucsd.edu/go/shuttles.

Please note that reduced-price parking allows permit holders to park in lots P704, P705 and P782 only; these permits do not provide cross-parking privileges in other UCSD parking areas. Reduced-price permit holders are not eligible for Official Business or Service Yard stickers.

Reduced-price Annual and Monthly Faculty, Staff and Student parking permits are being sold at the Gilman Parking Office. A limited number of reduced-price permits are available and they will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to act quickly if you want to take advantage of the reduced-price parking program. Once all reduced-price permits have been sold, a waiting list will be maintained for future participants.
