On-line W-2 Statements

The University is implementing a new option as part of the At Your Service On-line (AYSO) self-service web application. This initial presentment will provide employees with the opportunity to receive their 2006 W-2 form on-line and provide for a more secure method of distribution. This option will also eliminate delays associated with the distribution of paper statements and will provide employees with the convenience of acquiring and accessing their W-2 form at any time from any location.

Should you wish to receive your W-2 electronically you will need to make a positive election by January 1, 2007 by visiting UCOP's At Your Service On-line (AYSO) secure web site at https://atyourserviceonline.ucop.edu/ayso/

Employees selecting on-line W-2s will receive an email notification in January announcing the availability of the 2006 W-2 statement. Upon accessing the online AYSO application, you will be able to view and print your W-2 statement. The online W-2 will display the same information, in the same format as the current paper statements. Employees who wish to continue to receive a paper W-2 will not need to take any action.

In addition, as we have done since 2002, UCSD will continue participating in the electronic downloading of W-2 information into tax software products such as Turbo Tax. If you do not want your W-2 information to be made available for data imports you can elect to block it from being sent to our third party vendor. Making this election can also be conveniently done through UCOP's At Your Service On-line (AYSO) secure web site using the URL indicated above. The deadline for this election is also January 1, 2007.
