The future of the University of California Retirement Plan (UCRP) is of great import to all of us and has been the topic of much discussion this year by the Academic Senate at the local and systemwide levels. Academic Senate Chair John Oakley's memorandum, "Academic Council Memorandum on the Resumption of Contributions to the University of California Retirement Plan (UCRP)", summarizes the current position of the Senate in this matter.
