The Vice Chancellor needs strong communication skills and a record of commitment to shared governance. He/she must have a proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student body, and with all members of the academic and campus-wide communities. The best candidates will have a commitment to and a demonstrated record of success in achieving institutional goals that facilitate the removal of barriers to the recruitment, retention, and advancement of talented students, faculty and staff from historically excluded populations who are currently underrepresented. The VCSA will have an established record of active participation to assist the institution in achieving its fundraising goals.
