Security Gate Installation at Bachman Parking Structure

Transportation and Parking Services has been working to improve safety and security in UCSD Medical Center parking facilities. We have installed new lighting, signage and security gates in the Bachman parking structure, as well as increased security patrols.

On Monday June 18, 2007, the Bachman parking structure security gates will become operational. If you do not have a proximity chip on your UCSD ID card, please visit the Bachman structure parking office to obtain one. To avoid vehicle backups, the entry gates will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and the exit gates will be open from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekdays. At all other times, you will need your proximity chip to enter or exit the Bachman parking structure.

Transportation and Parking Services staff will be on site for the first two weeks to assist with the new security gates. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we implement these security measures.
