SUBJECT:    Undergraduate Student Experience and Satisfaction Steering
Committee Progress Report

We are pleased to provide the campus community with our second progress report summarizing campus actions in response to the Undergraduate Student Experience and Satisfaction (USES) Committee Report. The progress report may be accessed at:

In concurrence with the recommendation of the USES Committee, we again this year sought to engage all segments of the campus community in discussions and efforts to improve student life at UCSD. The progress report seeks to illustrate the campus actions already underway since the release of the USES Committee Report. Additionally, two longer-term major actions - additional undergraduate student on-campus housing and a central parking structure - are requested by the Steering Committee because they would have substantial positive impacts on the nature and quality of student experiences and satisfaction at UCSD.

We welcome comments on the report and suggestions on how the campus community might best achieve the goal of improving the quality of student experiences and satisfaction at UCSD. Please send your comments to USESSteeringCommittee@ucsd.edu.
