I am pleased to announce the 2007-2008 Salary Program for policy covered (non-exclusively represented) employees. The merit fund pool is 4.0%. Salary increases will take effect October 1, 2007 for monthly paid employees, and October 7, 2007 for biweekly paid employees. Merit increases are intended for employees with an overall "solid" or better performance level. Additional information regarding the administration of the merit pay plan is available at:

The 2007-2008 Salary Program includes additional funding for equity/parity increases. The fund pool for these increases is 1.0%. Salary recommendations for those employees who are to receive an equity/parity increase will be processed after the merit increases have been implemented, but will be effective October 1st. For employees of the UCSD Medical Center or UCSD Medical Group, equity review requests should be submitted directly to UCSD Medical Center Human Resources, Mail Code 8912.

Salary increases for exclusively represented staff are subject to collective bargaining agreements. Salary increases for academic personnel will be detailed in a separate communication from the Senior Vice Chancellor - Academic Affairs.
