SUBJECT:    Proposed Revisions to Policy and Procedure Manual
Section 230-5, Non-Senate Academic Appointees/Grievances

I am pleased to submit for formal campus review proposed revisions to UCSD Policy and Procedure Manual (PPM) Section 230-5, Non-Senate Academic Appointees/Grievances.

The proposed revisions reflect updates to Academic Personnel Manual (APM) Section 140 and are intended to provide for a clearer and more timely grievance process for non-Senate academic appointees. The proposed revisions clarify the role of the grievance liaison at UCSD, specify the UCSD academic appointees covered by this policy, and provide additional details on each step in the grievance process.
