UCSD “W” Grade Regulation Update

Dear UCSD Student,

Effective Fall 2008, the Academic Senate has informed the Office of the Registrar of an addendum to the regulation on “W” grades [500(F)(3)]. Please read the regulation on the UC San Diego Academic Senate web site at the following URL:

To summarize, students are now only permitted one “W” grade per course at UCSD. This regulation pertains to “W” grades received beginning Fall 2008 and later. Any “W” grades received prior to Fall 2008 will not be affected by this new regulation.
