SUBJECT:    CONSTRUCTION ALERT UPDATE –Voigt Drive West

Project Location/Impact:

As part of The North Campus Switch Station Expansion Project currently under construction, the contractor will be installing High Voltage cable in underground electric conduits on Voigt Drive on the west side of I-5 up to the intersection of Matthews Lane between the dates of November 10 and November 17, 2008. The new utility lines are needed to upgrade the capacity of Campus 12KV Distribution System in order to provide power to future upcoming projects.

Immediate Street Impacts:

Between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM traffic on Service Drive and Voigt Drive West may be reduced to one lane during construction. Emergency vehicle access will be available and flagmen will be directing traffic as needed.
