CONSTRUCTION ALERT UPDATE:

Voigt Drive East - new end date December 15, 2008 Voigt Drive West - new end date December 31, 2008 Project Location/Impact:

The North Campus Switch Station Expansion Project is under construction. As part of this project the contractor will be installing High Voltage cable in underground electric conduits on Service Drive on the west side of Preuss School, Voigt Drive (East)on the east side of I-5 and Parking Lot 701 between the dates of November 5, 2008 and December 15, 2008.

In addition, the contractor will be installing High Voltage cable in underground electric conduits on Voigt Drive (West) on the west side of I-5 up to the intersection of Matthews Lane between the dates of November 24 and December 31, 2008.

The new utility lines are needed to upgrade the capacity of Campus 12KV Distribution System in order to provide power to future upcoming projects.

Immediate Street Impacts:

Between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM traffic on Service Drive, Voigt Drive East, and Voigt Drive West may be reduced to one lane during construction. Emergency vehicle access will be available and flagmen will be directing traffic as needed.
