UC San Diego's William J. von Liebig Center for Entrepreneurism and Technology Advancement was recently recognized by the Kauffman Foundation as providing exemplary early-stage commercialization Assistance http://www.kauffman.org/poc
We are pleased to announce that the von Liebig Center, which is housed within the Jacobs School of Engineering, has begun a campus-wide expansion of its commercialization services http://www.vonliebig.ucsd.edu/about/about_announcements/announcement.sfe?id=125 In the first phase of this expansion, the Center is offering advisory and business mentoring services to researchers across campus who would like assistance with analyzing the commercial potential of their inventions and with exploring alternative pathways toward commercialization.
In addition to these advisory services, the Center is offering a series of entrepreneurial seminars (http://www.vonliebig.ucsd.edu/education/education_seminars/) which is open to the campus, and is partnering with the City of San Diego to offer a city-wide solicitation for clean technology proposals this summer: http://www.vonliebig.ucsd.edu/about/about_news/release.sfe?id=723
We encourage you to explore the opportunities provided by the Center, which may be contacted at (858) 822-5960 or firstname.lastname@example.org for additional information.
