I am pleased to announce a series of Staff Appreciation events that will take place around campus April 23 through April 25, 2008. UC San Diego’s continuing trajectory of excellence has been based in large measure on the dedication and professionalism of our employees, and I encourage everyone to pay tribute to our extraordinary staff by participating in an upcoming Staff Appreciation event.

In recognition of the Staff Appreciation events at UC San Diego, I am approving one hour of administrative leave with pay that employees may apply to their attendance at a Staff Appreciation Event activity when the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties or patient care.
