KEY ADMINISTRATORS/KEY SUPPORT STAFF

SUBJECT:    Appointment of Director - Institutional Research

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Christine Hurley as Director of Institutional Research. Christine has served as Interim Director since April 2008, filling the role previously held by Mary O'Neil, who retired after 20 years of outstanding service to the University.

Since graduating from UCSD with a degree in Economics, Christine has held progressively more responsible staff positions over the past 18 years, including 14 years in Capital Planning where she coordinated the advancement of non-State funded capital improvement building projects at UCSD. Christine's analytical and managerial skills make her exceptionally well suited to serve as Director, where some of her key responsibilities will include the development of utilization analyses of classrooms and class laboratories, administration of FacilitiesLink (the graphic and tabular space inventory for the campus), space need analyses that are required to secure State funds for capital improvements, enrollment planning studies, and faculty workload analyses.

Please join me in wishing Christine (churley@ucsd.edu, phone 534-1604) the very best in her new role.
