We greatly appreciate the hard work of the members of the UCSD Electronic Information and Communications Policy Committee in generating a procedures and practices document that continues to uphold the basic principles of academic freedom, freedom of speech, and privacy, while addressing areas of concern that arose in connection with the issuance of the original systemwide policy.
