SUBJECT:   Faculty Expertise and Research Interests Search (FERIS)

The UC San Diego Blink home page now includes a "Faculty Expertise and Research Interests Search (FERIS)" tool, which allows users to search by topic or name for links to faculty members, researchers, or other topic experts. sers can enter a keyword or any combination of keywords, or a researcher's name. The results are based on a Google search of faculty web pages listed in the UCSD directory.

FERIS is an important resource for both the campus and broader community. Through FERIS, our constituencies can easily locate campus experts on a variety of topics, facilitating information sharing and expanding possibilities for research and academic collaboration building. I encourage each of you to visit http://blink.ucsd.edu/faculty/general/FERIS.html to add a link for your web pages to the BLINK directory so that your expertise will be included in FERIS.

The FERIS application can be accessed via http://blink.ucsd.edu. Once there, click on "Faculty Expertise" under the Research tool. If you have any questions regarding this search tool, please contact Mojgan Amini at maamini@ucsd.edu.
