Opening of Sustainability Resource Center

I heartily encourage faculty, staff and students to attend the opening of the Sustainability Resource Center at 3 p.m., Friday, Nov. 20 in the Price Center Theater.

I am pleased to announce the opening of the center will be celebrated with a ceremony featuring remarks from Chancellor Marye Anne Fox; Steve Relyea, Vice Chancellor – External and Business Affairs; Maggie Souder, Campus Sustainability Coordinator, students and myself.

Located at the heart of UC San Diego’s campus, the Sustainability Resource Center in the Price Center will be home to campus sustainability staff and the student-funded Student Sustainability Collective. This unique collaboration between students and staff will work to achieve common sustainability goals and reach out to the campus and surrounding community.

In addition to the opening ceremony, Souder, sustainability analyst Kristin Hansen, and key students will be available on Friday to answer questions. The Center officially opens for business on December 1st.
