SUBJECT:    CONSTRUCTION ALERT UPDATE - UCSD Telemedicine and
PRIME-HEq Education Facility

Project Description/Location

The Telemedicine & PRIME-HEq Education Facility currently under construction in the School of Medicine will provide approximately 98,000 gross square feet of space for the Telemedicine Training Center, Telemedicine Consultation Center, Clinical Skills Training and Medical Simulation Center, Student PRIME Services, and Administration Center, as well as a small Café and Auditorium. The building consists of three stories with a basement below.

Immediate Street Impacts

Beginning December 21, 2009 through January 1, 2010, vehicular traffic around the site and on adjacent streets will be impacted at times to accommodate construction activities and utility installation. There will be occasions when Osler Lane will be limited to one-lane of traffic. During these times flagmen will be present to direct traffic. Pedestrian sidewalks adjacent to the site will remain open throughout the duration of the Project. Updates will continue to be provided throughout the construction period.
