SUBJECT:    China & Korea Trip, Summer 2009

The 2009 Silk Road to the Future China trip for students, faculty, staff, alumni and family members is very different! This summer, for the first time, we will visit NANJING, known in China as the "Southern Capital," where a special series of activities will be held to explore job and business opportunities in China. Visit the emerging South China Economic Development Zone, meet Nanjing's top governmental and business leaders, and take seminars on Chinese business, research and industrial culture. Consider an International career or establishing business opportunities between the U.S. and China based on your great ideas or those of your colleagues. Just as previously, spouses and immediate family members of students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to participate. This summer's theme: WORLD HEALTH & GREEN BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES! The following trip options are offered and explained in greater detail at the Legends of China Web site http://www.legendsofchina.com.

- TRIP A: Beijing + Nanjing (approximate dates, July 15-21*) for $1568. In Beijing, walk on the GREAT WALL, explore the Forbidden City, and visit the site of the Beijing Olympic Games;

- TRIP B: Beijing + three additional South China cities - Nanjing, Shanghai, and Suzhou (approximate dates, July 14-23*) for $1766;

- TRIP C: Beijing + 4 other cities -- Xi'an, Nanjing, Shanghai, Suzhou. Xi'an - site where the internationally famous archeological excavation of the Terra cotta Soldier Army is taking place at the tomb of China's first emperor who constructed the Great Wall (approximate dates, July 16-27*) for $2696;

-TRIP D: Beijing + three other Chinese cities & South Korea. Xi'an, Nanjing, Shanghai & Seoul, South Korea - see the amazing mountains and rivers of China (approximate dates, July 13-26*) for $3588.

Included is round-trip airfare (from LAX or SFO), domestic airfare in China, 4/5-star hotel accommodations, all meals, ground transportation, tour guides, historical site tickets, traveler health insurance, and mini-summit costs.

Registration is strictly FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED with limited space available. The sooner you are able to register, the more likely you'll be able to participate.
