UCSD to Host FERPA Workshop with LeRoy Rooker

On Thursday, April 23rd, UCSD will be hosting a very special guest on campus, LeRoy Rooker. Mr. Rooker is the nation’s leading authority on the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), a comprehensive federal law that provides privacy protections for student education records. As the director of the Department of Education’s Family Policy Compliance Office (FPCO) for 21 years, Mr. Rooker administered laws and policies designed to help protect the rights of America’s 58 million students.

UCSD has been given complimentary fees for staff to attend this interactive workshop free of charge as we are hosting in partnership with AACRAO (American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers).

This unique opportunity for UCSD staff is a valuable professional development opportunity, and space is limited. The April 23rd workshop will be held from 9 am – 12 pm in the Price Center East Ballroom. You must register to reserve a seat by Tuesday, April 14.
