The Exemplary Staff Employee of the Year Review Committee, consisting of representatives from the Chancellor's Office, each vice chancellor area and the UCSD Medical Center, evaluated all eligible nominations submitted by members of the campus community. The selections were based on criteria communicated in the 2008-2009 Exemplary Staff Employee of the Year Award Program notice. The announcement invited nominations of Professional and Support Staff who have demonstrated exemplary service and made other significant contributions to the UC San Diego and/or San Diego communities in accordance with program guidelines. The Chancellor has reviewed and approved the Committee's recommendation of this year's award recipients.

An award ceremony and reception will be held at the Faculty Club next week to honor these individuals.

Please join me in congratulating our colleagues for their noteworthy accomplishments.
