SUBJECT:    PPM510 Policy on Speech, Advocacy and Distribution of Literature on University Grounds

PPM510 Policy on Speech, Advocacy and Distribution of Literature on University Grounds for UC San Diego affiliates has been revised effective September 30, 2010. The link to the new policy is:

The policy revisions have been under review for more than two years with a committee composed of staff, faculty and students. A draft of the policy was posted October 1, 2009 and the comment period ended December 1, 2009. The committee finalized their deliberations in late May 2010. However, since it was near the end of Spring term, the posting was delayed until Fall 2010. A major highlight of the revised policy is that, generally, all UC San Diego grounds are available for expressive activity. In addition, there are designated areas with times listed where electronic amplified sound (bullhorns) may be used.

If you have further questions, please contact Sally Brainerd, PPM510@ucsd.edu, Chair of the committee.
