Notice of the Annual Clery Campus Security Report

In accordance with the guidelines established by the University of California, Office of the President, and pursuant to federal law, identified as the “Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998,” the Annual Security Report and Fire Safety Report are being made available to currently enrolled students, campus employees, prospective students and prospective employees.

The Annual Security Report provides statistics on specified crimes reported over the previous three years which occurred on campus, in off campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University, or on public property adjacent to campus. The report also contains information pertaining to campus security, alcohol and drug policies, sexual assault prevention and response, missing person reports, victims’ assistance programs, crime prevention and campus resources. Policies and procedures for campus wide notifications and emergency response and evacuation are also included.

The Fire Safety Report provides information and statistics concerning on campus housing facility fires and related incidents, fire drills and fire safety education and training.

All members of the campus community are encouraged to report crimes to the UCSD Police Department at (858) 534-4357. Emergencies or situations that may pose an immediate or ongoing threat to the health and safety of our students, employees and visitors should immediately be reported by dialing 9-1-1 from a campus phone or pay phone, by dialing (858) 534-4357 from a cell phone, or by using one of the call boxes located in the parking areas.
