We are pleased to announce the release of new functionality that further facilitates the process of department level index management. In early 2010, ACT and BFS released the new Index Management application to campus. Now with version 1.5, department financial users have the ability to inactivate a department index from within FinancialLink themselves, thus removing the current manual process with the General Accounting office. The tool will also automatically check for all known associations in other financial systems, and outstanding balances before inactivation is performed, and instruct the user on corrective actions required.
This application was developed as a joint effort between the General Accounting office and the Administrative Computing & Telecommunications department.
