April 27, 2010 Meeting

Dear Colleagues:

Our fifth meeting of the 2009-10 academic year is scheduled for Tuesday, April 27 at 3:30 p.m., in the MULTIPURPOSE ROOM, STUDENT SERVICES CENTER; please note the change in location. The Notice of Meeting (agenda) and all pertinent documents may be found on the Senate's Web page at: http://senate.ucsd.edu/assembly/agenda/current.htm

SPECIAL DISCUSSIONS: Professors Jorge Mariscal and Daniel Widener will be present to discuss questions related to campus climate. We will hear a preliminary report from the Senate Task Force on Budget Transparency, which the Assembly established at its last meeting, and a presentation from Committee on Admissions Chair John Eggers about the campus' use of comprehensive review in the undergraduate admissions process. Under New Business, a proposal for campus use of an executive vice chancellor (EVC) model has been submitted for discussion.

Under regular business, the Committee on Educational Policy has submitted a proposal to amend the Policy on Integrity of Scholarship.
