ALL ACADEMICS AT UCSD KEY ADMINISTRATORS/KEY SUPPORT STAFF

SUBJECT:    Faculty and Staff of Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research

The Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research has funded its San Diego Branch on our campus since 1991 and contributes financially to UCSD consistent with other campus entities. The faculty and staff of the Ludwig Institute have been exceptional citizens of our UC San Diego community. The Ludwig Institute faculty hold appointments in School of Medicine departments, and are fully engaged in teaching, research and University service, thereby improving the environment at our campus.

The purpose of this notice is to affirm that the Ludwig Institute faculty and staff (including postdoctoral fellows, postdoctoral employees, visiting scientists, research and administrative staff) are to be afforded the same level of access, service and pricing from campus service and resource providers as individuals who are full employees of UC San Diego.

On behalf of UC San Diego and its executive leadership, we want to take this opportunity to underscore the remarkable collaboration between our campus and the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research that has thrived for over two decades. The continuous presence in our community of the Ludwig Institute and its exceptional faculty and staff have contributed immeasurably to the success of UC San Diego as a top tier research university. We have been fortunate indeed to have one of Ludwig's ten world-wide research branches (one of only two in the United States)here on our campus. In addition, the Ludwig Institute helps fund cancer research at other top flight universities in the United States and around the world. We look forward to continuing this relationship for many decades to come. For more information on the Ludwig Institute, please refer to www.licr.org .
