SUBJECT:    CHINESE LANGUAGE LEARNERS SUMMER TRIP

From July 17-26, The Legends of China, sponsors of the annual Silk Road to the Future China summer trip for faculty, staff, students, and family members is sponsoring a new, special CHINESE LANGUAGE LEARNING trip. The introductory program price is $1786, which includes international air travel, 4-5 star hotels, meals, buses, historical tours, & Chinese language instruction. Travelers will be immersed in learning the basics of Chinese from well-trained language teachers, experts, and scholars who will engage them daily in Chinese language lessons, Chinese history lessons, and Chinese cultural lessons. This practically oriented instruction will continue throughout visits to all of the below cities:

Beijing - Capital of China

Shanghai - China's financial center and "Oriental Paris"

Suzhou - Site of famous oriental gardens and secret Chinese silk industry

Hangzhou - Site of poetic West Lake and many ancient temples

The trip's will package the learning of basic Chinese over a 10-day period within context of cultural and language-focused travel and tours. By trip's end, travelers will understand basic Chinese language structure, history, and pronunciation principals that lay a solid foundation upon which to build future mastery. While learning Chinese, travelers will be touring China and enjoying sites such as the Great Wall of China, Forbidden City, Beijing Olympic Village, historical museums, etc.

As the global impact of China's rapid economic rise continues to expand, and with over 25% of the earth's population speaking Chinese, learning Chinese has become very practical.
