Proposed Revisions to Systemwide Academic Personnel Policies

The University invites comments on proposed revisions to the following systemwide Academic Personnel Policy sections:

APM 200, General
Minor revisions to correct and update general policy; deletion of Recall policy (APM 200-22) and policy appendices.

APM 205, Recall for Academic Appointees
New recall policy; revises and amplifies existing Recall policy (APM 200-22), including the incorporation of APM 200-22 Appendices A and B.

APM 670, Health Sciences Compensation Plan
Proposed draft language is intended to clarify certain principles (e.g. authority levels, Good Standing, Advisory Committees, grievance procedures, and compensation). New language was added to provide guidelines for the assignment of Academic Programmatic Units (APUs) and to bring APM 670 into conformity with the APM 700 series. Sections of the existing policy were reordered to improve clarity (e.g. the “Philosophy” portion in the current policy is “Appendix A” in the proposed draft).
