SUBJECT:    CONSTRUCTION ALERT – Athena Circle, East Campus FD&C Project #4583 Interim East Campus Helistop

Project Description/Location

Construction of the Interim East Campus Helistop will begin on February 21, 2012. The project consists of a temporary helicopter concrete landing pad, with surrounding fence and lighting. It will be located on Lot 3 of the UCSD Science Research Park, off Athena Circle. The work will include utility extensions and modifications along Athena Circle.

Immediate Street Impacts for Demolition and Construction Work

Commencing on February 21, 2012 and continuing until June 30, 2012, vehicular traffic on Athena Circle may be impacted at times to accommodate construction activities and utility installations; flagmen will be present to direct traffic when necessary. Detour signs for vehicles and pedestrian traffic may also be posted when necessary.
