CAMPUS NOTICE

OFFICE OF THE VICE CHANCELLOR AND
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

December 8, 2014

ALL ACADEMICS AND STAFF AT UC SAN DIEGO (excluding UCSD Health System)

SUBJECT:    Eliminating the Requirement of Authorization Codes for Making US Domestic Telephone Calls

We are committed to constantly simplify our business processes and to improve our services. After a cost-benefit analysis, we have determined that the time and effort saved by faculty and staff from eliminating the requirement to enter an authorization code for outgoing calls within the US far outweighed the potential cost to the campus.

Therefore, we are pleased to announce that effective January 5, 2015, authorization codes will no longer be required for making local or domestic long distance telephone calls. Call usage reports will continue to be available. For more information about our long-distance telephone rates, please visit http://goo.gl/4GjRGF.
