Proposed Revisions to UC Policy on Copyright and Fair Use

The University invites comments on proposed revisions of the presidential policy on copyright and fair use.

The 1986 Policy on the Reproduction of Copyrighted Materials for Teaching and Research has been completely revamped and renamed the University of California Policy on Copyright and Fair Use.

The revision was necessary due to changes in the law, technology, and academic practices that made the 1986 policy inaccurate and out of line with current practices.

The proposed revisions are available on the following website:
