TIMELY WARNING UPDATE

ALL ACADEMICS, STAFF AND STUDENTS AT UCSD
Please be on alert. On April 17th, 2014, the UC San Diego Police Department received information of a robbery and assault that occurred at Black's Beach, near the UC San Diego campus, at approximately 3:00 am. One of the victims was struck with a shovel.
It was reported that the suspects were a group of about ten Hispanic and black males. One male was described as dark skinned (unknown race), wearing large diamond earrings in each ear. There are no further details at this time.
Students, staff and faculty of UC San Diego are advised to avoid the Torrey Pines Glider Port and Black's Beach areas during the hours of darkness.

" Report suspicious activity immediately to UCSD Police (858) 534-4357 or 9-1-1 (emergencies).
