Excellence in Postdoctoral Scholar Mentoring and Postdoctoral Scholar Awards

We are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2014-15 Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Postdoctoral Scholar Mentoring and Outstanding Postdoctoral Scholar.

The Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Postdoctoral Scholar Mentoring recognizes faculty mentors who serve as effective advisors, advocates, role models and colleagues to their postdoctoral trainees, and who promote high standards of professionalism and research integrity. This year’s recipients are:

Professor Don W. Cleveland, Ph.D. – Cellular and Molecular Medicine
Associate Professor Nathan Gianneschi, Ph.D. – Chemistry and Biochemistry
Professor JoAnn Trejo, Ph.D. - Pharmacology

The Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Postdoctoral Scholar recognizes the well-rounded postdoctoral scholar who not only excels in research and advances the frontiers of science, but also provides leadership, mentorship, and service. This year’s recipients are:

Ann En-Ju Lin, Ph.D. - Pediatrics
Philip Gordts, Ph.D. – Cellular and Molecular Medicine

They will be honored on Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Postdoc Appreciation Luncheon and Award Ceremony in Price Center Ballroom, 12:00-2:00.
