SUBJECT:    CONSTRUCTION ALERT UPDATE- Temporary MRI and Office Trailer, Construction Staging in Parking Lot P703

Project Description/Locations:

The project includes the temporary placement of a 3T MRI cassette and office modular building adjacent to the Radiation Oncology building on the East Campus. The scope of work includes site development, installation of the building pads, utilities, a covered ramp, signage, landscaping, and placement of two modular buildings.

Construction will take place between September 19, 2014 and December 19, 2014. Normal hours of construction will be 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; modifications in construction activities could be conducted with campus approval.

Immediate Street Traffic, Bike Lane, and Pedestrian Impacts:

All impacts will occur in Parking Lot P703. A total of 20 parking spaces will be affected. Directly to the east of Radiation Oncology, 10 A spots will be relocated perpendicular to their current location to the south edge of Lot P703. Another 10 B spots will be temporarily displaced for Construction Staging. These will be returned to the pool once construction is completed.

Bike lines will not be impacted, but a portion of the sidewalk on the east end of Radiation Oncology will be closed. However, access to the staff entrance and ambulance entrance will remain open and accessible through the Lot.
