Subject:    Save the Dates – Triton Day and Transfer Triton Day 2016

Triton Day will be held on Saturday, April 9 and Transfer Triton Day will take place on Saturday, May 7, 2016.

Triton Days bring together the campus community to showcase UC San Diego to newly admitted students and their families as a student-centered, research-focused, service-oriented public university. The daylong events provide our admitted students the chance to explore the full range of opportunities available at UC San Diego. Between the two days, an estimated 25,000 people will visit the campus.

The goal of this important endeavor is to showcase our campus to our newly admitted students – some of the best and brightest students in the world – and encourage them to choose UC San Diego as their higher education destination. The experience we create for them on both Triton Days will greatly impact that choice. Broad campus participation from all academic departments and programs, undergraduate colleges, student support services, student organizations, extracurricular/enrichment programs , and administrative support units will be essential to achieving our goal and providing our guests with a true Triton experience in the form of sessions, information fairs, open houses, lab tours and more. Each year our goal is to highlight even more of the research and educational opportunities, organizations, clubs and tours of labs and research facilities; all of which help demonstrate UC San Diego as a living laboratory for learning, research and development.

An email with registration details and a link for both Triton Days will be sent in early January. We look forward to your active participation in these exciting and vital events as we welcome our newest Tritons to UC San Diego!
