SUBJECT:    2015 UC San Diego Women's Conference – March 10, 2015

The Chancellor's Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (CSW) invites UC San Diego staff and faculty to attend the 7th Annual UC San Diego Women's Conference: “(Re)Defining the UC San Diego Woman: Equality for Women is Progress for All”. The conference will take place between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in and around the Price Center West Ballroom.

We are pleased to announce that elite athlete and author Tricia Downing as the 2015 keynote speaker. Downing is an elite athlete, author and transformational specialist who has overcome overwhelming odds to achieve success. After a tragic accident nearly ended her life, she embraced change and reemerged as an elite wheelchair athlete and became the first female paraplegic to complete an IRONMAN Triathlon. Downing will share lessons about facing the unknown, overcoming natural resistance to change, feeling more at ease with change and realizing the benefits of embracing new ways of thinking, doing and acting. For more information about additional speakers and workshops, please visit: http://blink.ucsd.edu/HR/training/career/womens/
