| SUBJECT: | Faculty Participation in the Early Calling Campaign for 2015 Admitted Students |
Dear Colleagues: The Fall 2015 Admitted Student Early Calling Campaign starts today. By participating in this important yield event, you will be the first to contact targeted freshman applicants, informing them of their admission to UC San Diego. Research indicates that faculty interaction is a key factor in a student’s college decision-making process. Therefore, faculty participation is essential to our success.
The online calling tool is now live. Please follow the link https://calling.ucsd.edu and login with your active directory Single Sign-On username and password.
We ask that you call students over the duration of this week: March 3-8.
The online tool will assist you with placing and logging calls to the admitted students within the criteria you specify, such as major, college, ethnicity or home location. Student names and phone numbers will display on the screen and you will be prompted to record the outcome of the call.
