Revised Academic Personnel Manual 330, Specialist Series

The Office of the President has issued revised APM 330, Specialist Series, effective July 1, 2015. A revised Specialist Series Toolkit, prepared for academic administrators appointing, advancing, and/or promoting Specialists within this series, has also been issued.

All Specialists appointed on or after July 1, 2015 are subject to the revised policy. All Specialists with appointments beginning before July 1, 2015 are subject to the new policy with the exception of provisions for appointment and advancement criteria (APM - 330-10), qualification (APM -330-11), and recommendation and review (APM - 330-80). Academic Personnel Services is in the process of developing local implementation guidelines to address application of these provisions to all specialists appointed prior to July 1, 2015.
