SUBJECT:    CONSTRUCTION ALERT UPDATE- Warren College Pedestrian Bridge Replacement

Project Description/Locations:

UC San Diego Housing, Dining & Hospitality will be renovating Warren College pedestrian bridges at Douglas Hall beginning June 30, 2015 with anticipated completion by mid-September 2015. Douglas Hall is located in Central Warren College. The project will include renovations to the circulation bridges and landscape in and around Douglas Hall. Normal hours of construction will be 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Modifications in construction activities could be conducted with campus approval to include some weekend activities.

Immediate Street Traffic, Bicycle and Pedestrian Impacts:

Faculty, staff and students may experience additional construction traffic on Voigt Drive and Equality Lane, with traffic coming from North Torrey Pines Road or Genesee Avenue. Signage and flagmen will be posted to allow circumnavigation of construction traffic.

Pedestrian pathways will be impacted and pedestrians may be directed to adjacent walkways during some phases of construction.

Bicycle traffic in immediate construction area will be impacted and bicyclists may be directed to adjacent side of the road during some phases of construction.
