Appointment of Robert A. Crouch as Assistant Vice Chancellor - Human Resources

Following a comprehensive nationwide search, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Robert A. Crouch Assistant Vice Chancellor, Human Resources effective September 1, 2015. Mr. Crouch will be a member of the Vice Chancellor & Chief Financial Officer's senior management team.

Mr. Crouch has over twenty years of progressive leadership and management experience with a proven record of success in improving and automating processes around human resource functions, creating a customer-centered environment, and improving communication across all levels of the organization. He served as the Assistant Vice President for Human Resources/Chief Human Resources Officer for the University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC) for the past four years where he created an infrastructure and improved processes and systems in order to brand UIC Human Resources as a strategic, value-add entity helping to drive the overall University goals.

Prior to coming to UIC, Mr. Crouch served as the Director, Human Resources for the Illinois State Treasurer for four years where he advised and consulted with senior management and the Treasurer regarding strategic human resource and workforce matters.

Mr. Crouch also held leadership positions in Human Resources for the Village of Matteson, Illinois, Missouri Department of Labor & Industrial Relations, and Missouri Division of Workers Compensation. In each of these roles he has created a collaborative team, with an emphasis on organization-wide communication, staff development, and process and productivity improvement.

Mr. Crouch received his Master's in Business Administration from William Woods University, Fulton, Missouri. He is also a member of several professional organizations including College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR), Society for Human Resources Management, and National Forum for Black Public Administrators to name a few.
