SUBJECT:    CONSTRUCTION ALERT – School of Medicine, Pedestrian Access Impact

Project Description/Location:

Revelle Switch Station Upgrade, currently under construction in Revelle College, will provide critical electrical infrastructure to reliably service the existing and proposed electrical loads for the campus. The upgrade will require the installation of underground electrical conduits for the Revelle Switch Station and the addition of reclaimed water piping for the campus. The work will cover the areas from the west end of the VA hospital pedestrian bridge to the Telemedicine building and along the Telemedicine building to Osler Lane. Work will begin on October 10, 2016 and be completed by November 18, 2016. The hours of work will be from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Immediate Street Traffic, Bike Lane, and Pedestrian Impacts:

The work will require the closing of the pedestrian walkways in the areas described above and indicated on the attached map. Areas providing a safe alternate route are also indicated on the attached map. Please follow signage and allow extra time while traveling in the School of Medicine area.
